Monitor legislation and issues regarding the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act. Prepare materials and conduct meetings related to hearing loss claims under Longshore Act.
Monitor availability of FY26 Funding for Ports and Waterways and certain federal grant programs administered by the U.S. Maritime Administration. Issues related to the FY26 National Defense Authorization Acts.
Issues related to PIDP, BUILD, and RAISE grants. Monitor enactment and implementation of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (P.L. 117-58) and Inflation Reduction Act (P.L. 117-169) and track potential cuts or delays in awards. Issues related to the repeal of limited MTO anti-trust immunity under the Shipping Act. H.R.3842-Work with members to reintroduce a bill to expand the MARAD Capital Construction Fund for purchases of cargo handling equipment at U.S. ports.
