Health Issues

Support improved enforcement and parity for penalties related to insurer noncompliance with the No Surprises Act, including work on the No Surprises Act Enforcement Act; Support improvement and implementation of the No Surprises Act Dispute Resolution Operations Proposed Rule and operationalization of the Final Rule; prevent changes to insurer reimbursement in the form of adverse determinations (prior authorization, denials, downcodes); implement federal tort reform for medical malpractice; unintended consequences of the expiration of the Affordable Care Act enhanced premium tax credits.

Medicare/Medicaid
