Requesting that DOD expand the list of eligible board certification bodies to include entities other than American Board of Medical Specialties; moving doctors of podiatric medicine from the Medical Service Corps to the Medical Corps.

Medicaid access to podiatry and program integrity; Medicare therapeutic shoe program for patients with diabetes; MACRA/MIPS implementation and Physician Fee Schedule proposed updates as pertains to physicians and providers; supporting legislation to increase awareness of peripheral artery disease; seeking increases in funding for diabetes awareness education; supporting amputation awareness and prevention legislation; supporting student loan relief and overhaul legislation; supporting opioid treatment legislation.

Working with VA on creation and implementation of new national standards of practice for podiatrists; seeking increased funding for continuing medical education grants for providers; participating in national standard of practice project.

Medical student loan assistance; graduate medical education; higher education act reauthorization; student loan reform; student loan forgiveness for providers working in underserved areas.
