Enforcement of the Training Provider Registry within FMCSA's Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) Rule and oversight to increase that enforcement; support and extension of the SDAP Safe Driver Apprenticeship Program; advocacy to increase and extend funding for the CMVOST program; advocacy to condition and limit state access to full CDLPI grant funding if there are CDL skills testing delays and a lack of third-party skills testing in that state. Advocacy to have Congress increase the enforcement of the Entry-Level Driver Training Rules through statutory action related to the forthcoming Surface Reauthorization.

Labor Issues/Antitrust/Workplace

Support reintroduction of the A Stronger Workforce for America Act to optimize the Workforce Opportunity and Innovation Act program. Support for increased and continued funding for the WIOA program.

Budget/Appropriations

Support and advocate for the publication of Congressional Appropriations report language that requires the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to increase enforcement of the Entry-Level Driver Training Rule. Support and advocate for an increase in funding for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funding, particularly as it relates to truck driver training activities.
