The Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007 requires the registrant filing an LD-2 to disclose criminal convictions of the lobbyists it names. The date and the description below are the registrant's own words, reproduced as filed and not edited or summarized here. Each entry links the filing it was taken from so it can be read against the official document.
A registrant repeats the same conviction on every filing that names that lobbyist, so the 529 stored entries are restatements rather than separate events. Two entries are shown as one conviction when the LDA lobbyist id, the conviction date and the description all match, comparing the description with capitalization and runs of spacing ignored. That leaves 30. Nothing else is merged: two different wordings of the same date stay two rows, because judging them identical would mean rewriting the record.
People are grouped by the LDA's lobbyist id, not by name, so someone registered under two ids appears twice.
