Support for S. 704/H.R. 1565, Voluntary Public Access Improvement Act of 2025; H.R. 2235, Habitat Connectivity on Working Lands Act of 2025; H.R. 605, Headwaters Protection Act; S. 1462, Fix Our Forests Act, and other work related to conservation and forestry in the Farm Bill. Advocacy for Farm Bill Conservation Title funding in H.R. 1, One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Support for administrative actions to conserve and expand migration corridor conservation on public and private land, digitize and make publicly available recreation information, and to address Chronic Wasting Disease.
Supported FY26 appropriations requests related to public lands, access and digital mapping, source water protection, wildlife migration corridors, USGS cooperative research units, voluntary public access on private lands, chronic wasting disease, reclamation/water conservation, wildlife refuges, USDA conservation operations and assistance, Great Lakes, Chesapeake Bay, and Everglades restoration funding, and other conservation accounts.
Feedback and support for legislative proposals related to migration corridor conservation, forest health, public access, wildlife highway crossings, fish passage and conservation, and natural hazard mitigation and resilience including: H.R. 187, MAPWaters Act; H.R. 471, Fix Our Forests Act; H.R. 717, Wildlife Movement Through Partnerships Act; H.R. 718, Public Lands in Public Hands Act, and other work on expediting permitting for conservation and restoration projects, and support for public access and habitat conservation. Feedback on proposals to rescind federal agency land use plans through Congressional Review Act including: H.J. Res. 104, H.J. Res. 105, H.J. Res 106. Feedback and opposition to certain provisions related to sale of federal lands in H.R. 1, One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Support for administrative actions to expand federal land access, conserve wildlife migration corridors, and conserve fish and wildlife habitat.
Advocacy for western water and drought resilience, and natural infrastructure including S. 154/H.R. 231, Colorado River System Conservation Program Extension Act, and H.R. 2786, Resilient Coasts and Estuaries Act. Support for administrative actions to promote water conservation and fish and wildlife habitat conservation in headwaters systems.
Support and feedback on marine fisheries conservation and access legislation including: S. 759, MAPOceans Act; S. 1078/H.R. 1514, Mississippi River Basin Fishery Commission Act of 2025; H.R. 3714, Forage Fish Conservation Act of 2025, and other initiatives support marine fisheries conservation. Support for administrative actions related to forage fish conservation and sport fish bycatch reduction.
Feedback and support for expanding wildlife crossings funding, culvert removal programs, PROTECT Program, Sportfish Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, and county road mapping and access through the Highway Bill.
