Medicare/Medicaid

Oppose Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) proposal to implement an efficiency adjustment to Medicare Physician Fee Schedule payments. Support the Efficiency Adjustment Delay Act (H.R. 7520), which would stop the application of an efficiency adjustment until at least January 1, 2030. Oppose the CMS practice expense site differential proposal (no specific legislation) Ask Congress to amend Section 1847A(c)(4) of the Social Security Act to extend the Secretary of Health and Human Services authority to use the wholesale acquisition cost (WAC) plus 3% as the reimbursement methodology for drugs under Medicare Part B until the Average Sales Price (ASP) reaches sustainable levels, as determined by the Secretary. This change will allow biosimilars administered in office settings to be reimbursed adequately so that physicians can afford to prescribe and administer biosimilars. (No specific legislation) Support the Improving Seniors Timely Access to Care Act (S. 1816, H.R. 3514) to codify CMS prior authorization regulations for MA plans and require greater transparency of prior authorization processes
