Agriculture

Educate Members and the Administration about the pork supply chain; advocate for pork producers due to economic harm from supply chain and other market disruptions; and educate policymakers about emerging infectious diseases in the pork industry. Monitor and advise on policy developments pertaining to market oversight and competition matters, including the revocation of the Biden Administration's Executive Order on Promoting Competition in the American Economy, the Packers and Stockyards regulation, and other relevant legislative efforts. Monitor USDA FSIS swine modernization efforts. Monitor the development of the FY27 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies Appropriations bill; and advocate for funding for the U.S. Swine Health Improvement Plan.
