Agriculture

Support USDA REAP program, section 9007, of the farm bill (PL 115-334), including re-authorization of new farm bill. Support REAP in PL 117-169. Promote strong implementation of said program at USDA. Support provision in law that enables under-utilized technologies to more fully participate. Advocate for Administration to continue support for small and mid-sized farmers and rural businesses to access distributed wind power (and other technologies) thru USDA support generally. Asking for support to extent possible during shutdown.

Energy/Nuclear

Support DOE Wind program office for wind power development particularly for distributed wind power market segment. This is a long-standing office and program, which is effective, and helps small wind businesses (and by extension customers) across the US. Support relevant appropriations for the office and program, as well as distributed wind power in particular. Distributed wind power helps farmers, rural businesses, and many others lower energy costs, and improve the bottom line, as well as improve environmental quality for rural communities. Advocate for retention or fair "phase-down", to degree possible, of wind power investment and production tax credits, workable rules related to the implementation of those tax credits (48E, 45Y etc.), in the "OBBBA" or HR 1.
