Implementation and reauthorization of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) over-the-counter (OTC) drug approval process reforms for sunscreen ingredients included in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES Act; Public Law 116-136); FDA proposed order on OTC sunscreen active ingredients; FDA jurisdiction regarding the safety and efficacy and OTC sunscreen active ingredients; sunscreen provisions in the FY 2026 House and Senate appropriations for the Food and Drug Administration; skin cancer prevention for outdoor workers; use of sunscreen in schools to prevent sunburns in children; reauthorization of the Over-the-Counter Monograph User Fee Act (OMUFA); nomination of new HHS and FDA leadership.
