* On September 26, ADLM wrote to Rep.Richard Hudson (R-NC) in support of his legislation, H.R.5269, the Reforming and Enhancing Sustainable Updates to Laboratory Testing Services (RESULTS) Act, which would create a new, more equitable Medicare clinical laboratory fee schedule.

Budget/Appropriations

*On August 15th, an ADLM led coalition of healthcare groups wrote to the House and Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, & Relation Agencies subcommittees urging them to include $10 million in the FY26 budget for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to improve pediatric reference intervals (PRIs). On September 29th, ADLM wrote to the Department of Health and Human Services urging it to providing $10 million to CDC to improve the quality of PRIs.

Health Issues

On July 9th, ADLM joined a coalition letter of more than 100 groups in writing to the Senate Health Education Labor & Pensions and House Energy and Commerce committees urging them to protect the integrity of the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). On August 29th, ADLM wrote to Rep. Kelly Morrison (D-MN) in support of H.R.4709, the Newborn Screening Saves Lives Reauthorization Act, which would preserve advances in newborn screening programs.
