● Assist Client to prepare for Hill staff meetings and develop draft white paper; assist Client to engage White House urging support for US commercial fishing industry similar to US farm support ● Advise Client on opportunity to provide comments to NOAA on executive order RE: American Seafood Competitiveness ● Provide Client with information/implications of the federal government shutdown; status of funding for commercial fishing industry liaison in FY26 Agriculture legislation ● Participate in Hill staff discussions on MSA/ESA/MMPA reforms and hearing preparations; provide ongoing MMPA reform recommendations as part of developing/refining draft legislation; continue to oppose the transfer of protected species management authority from NOAA to USFWS ● Provide feedback to Hill staff on implications of H.R. 5699 and assist Client with comment submission; advise Client on ESA reforms in H.R. 1847 and related SBA roundtable opportunity ● Monitor federal agency activities and legislation related to IUU fishing and forced labor in the seafood industry; report on NOAA MMPA comparability findings and status of industry-driven litigation; assist Client to support the FISH Act ● Monitor Offshore Wind developments, related EOs, and track BOEM activities; engage with Hill staff on OSW implications of the SPEED Act (H.R. 4776)

● Inform Client on nominations for USCG safety advisory committee; assist Client to engage with Hill staff and USCG to address approval of satellite-based communications for improved safety purposes; inform Client on USCG bulletins during the government shut down, and on USCG provisions in the 2025 NDAA

● Assist Client to prepare to engage Hill staff on H2B visa issues

● Provide Client with research on Caribbean Trade Agreements; information on NOAAs EU trade developments; and on new Switzerland trade agreement
