In anticipation of a House vote, on December 2, I reached to the staff of Congressman Riley Moore and Congresswoman Miller to express WVUs support and sought their support for the bipartisan Student Compensation and Opportunity through Rights and Endorsements (SCORE) Act (H.R. 4312) that seeks to create a national framework for NIL deals, protecting student athletes, providing preemption of state laws, and granting antitrust protections to the NCAA. The legislation was pulled from consideration to lack of votes for passage.
