The IBEW lobbied against a number of bills that would negatively impact IBEW members' rights in the workplace including but not limited to: National Right to Work (S. 533); Employee Rights Act (H.R. 4154); National Labor Relations Board Reform Act (S. 991); Tribal Labor Souvereignty Act (H.R. 1723/S. 1301); Modern Worker Empowerment Act (S. 2228); and Unlocking Benefits for Independent Workers Act (S. 2210)
IBEW advocated for the integration of systems and other items relating to rail safety.
The IBEW lobbied on H.R. 2671, the Tax Fairness for Workers Act, which seeks to restore the tax deduction for union dues and equipment that was eliminated by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017. The IBEW lobbied on preserving the employer deduction for health care benefits.
