SB2681/HR5005 "The Safer Supervision Act": The Safer Supervision Act is a set of sensible solutions has earned strong support from a broad coalition of local and national organizations across the political spectrum because it will safely reduce the number of people unnecessarily on supervised release, lower recidivism by incentivizing and rewarding successful reentry, and reduce familial and workforce instability by limiting revocations and the use of incarceration for minor violations. The Act makes overdue updates to federal supervised release so that supervision works better for everyone - people on supervision, supervision officers, crime survivors, local economies, and the entire country - by building on systems that hold people accountable and prioritize public safety and stability.
