Conversations focused on how members of Congress could help small businesses access federal funding and compete for government contracts, enabling innovative companies like Sorcerer to contribute to national priorities.
We met with offices to discuss H.R. 8800, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027, and the FY2028 NDAA cycle. Conversations focused on how Sorcerers weather-forecasting models could strengthen military preparedness and support operations, and how members of Congress could support these capabilities.
We met with offices to discuss H.R. 5089, the Weather Act Reauthorization Act of 2025, and potential partnerships. Conversations focused on how Sorcerers forecasting models and weather balloon observations could improve forecast accuracy, as well as how congressional support could expand their use in NOAAs forecasting programs and commercial weather-data procurement.
