Student financial aid funding including the Pell Grant, Federal Work Study program, the Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) program; education provisions included in H.R.1 - One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Additionally, Dept. of Education regulatory changes including graduate student loan limits; inclusion of professional degrees in definition.

Increased funding for Quantum and AI research; enhance partnerships between DoD and Stony Brook University.

Proposed changes to OPT; H1B fee increase; duration of status; Administration Immigration Actions: including: (i) Establishing a Fixed Time Period of Admission and an Extension of Stay Procedure for Nonimmigrant Academic Students, Exchange Visitors, and Representatives of Foreign Information Media(NPRM); (ii) Weighted Selection Process for Registrants and Petitioners Seeking to File Cap-Subject H-1B Petitions(NPRM); and (iii) Restriction on Entry of Certain Nonimmigrant Workers (proclamation).
