Providing Child Care for Police Officers Act of 2023
This bill directs the Department of Health and Human Services to establish a grant pilot program for child care services for the children of law enforcement officers. Grants are provided to eligible states to provide assistance to a law enforcement agency or a group of entities to establish and operate child care programs for the minor children of law enforcement officers during shift work and abnormal work hours.
Referred to the Committee on the Judiciary, and in addition to the Committee on Education and the Workforce, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
