Retirement Plan Modernization Act

This bill amends the Internal Revenue Code and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) to increase from $5,000 to $7,600 the amount of accrued benefits in a pension plan that may be immediately distributed without the consent of the participant. The bill also requires the increased limit to be adjusted for inflation after 2018.
