Flood Protection Act
This bill authorizes the Department of Commerce to award grants to state and local governments for frequent and chronic coastal flooding mitigation and adaptation infrastructure projects.
A project is not eligible for funding if it will have a long-term negative impact on important ecological functions and habitat or existing natural coastal protection features and functions.
