Layoff Prevention Extension Act of 2014 - Amends the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 with respect to state short-time compensation programs that allow employers to reduce the workweek of their employees in lieu of layoffs.
Extends federal financing of the programs for an additional year.
Extends through December 31, 2015, the deadline for a state to submit to the Secretary of Labor its application for a short-time compensation program grant.
