Military Pay Equity Act of 2001 - Increases by 7.3 percent, effective January 1, 2002, the rates of basic pay for military personnel. Waives during FY 2002 any required adjustment in such rates in conformance with the General Schedule of the U.S. Government.

Requires a report from the Secretary of Defense to the congressional defense committees evaluating the need to further change such rates in all or certain pay grades.
