● Outreach to NOAA on implementation of seafood EO and deregulatory agenda; attend and report to Client on NOAA Spring CCC meeting ● Provide Client with information/implications of S.4236 and gaining access to agriculture programs & advise on opportunities for 2026 Rural Business Development Grants; report on USDA seafood office creation ● Provide Client information related to final rule on Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Monument Executive Order & White House press event; continue to monitor the transfer of protected species management authority from NOAA to USFWS; inform Client on letter from Congress to NOAA on ropeless gear; advise Client on status of H.R. 1897; review NOAA 2026 MMPA LOF for Client ● Continue to monitor federal agency activities, hearings and legislation (S.688 & S.1369) related to IUU fishing and forced labor in the seafood industry; advise Client on strategy regarding federal council legislation; North Pacific bycatch legislation; and status of pollock-fur seal litigation ● Ongoing monitoring and reporting on numerous marine/oceans issues including: status of marine sanctuaries in the region, MMPA issues; fishery disaster reform; VIDA status; OSW energy development & impacts on whales; WA-AK chinook salmon status and SRKW population issues; MSA reauthorization, Hill staff changes, National Seafood Strategy/EO implementation, ESA Alaska King Salmon petition; NPFMC bycatch Advice and guidance on NOAAs Tsunami Warning system and communications Tracking RAISE project grant implementation for upgrades to CMA/CGM Terminal in Unalaska.

Organize and participate in USACE HQ meetings; tracking and alerting client of funding opportunities available through the Dept. of Transportation Support for Captains Bay Road and water utilities projects, including FY 2026 CDS/CPF enacted results, FY 2027 CDS/CPF road project submission. Submission and tracking of FY 2027 CDS/CPF for coastal erosion project. Support for Essential Air Service funding options for Unalaska passenger air service.

Organize and participate in meetings & communications related to EPA Brownfields/ANSCA contaminated lands programs; Support for project funding for site assessment and clean up

Tracking of funding opportunities for geothermal energy project. Submission for FY 2027 CDS.

Organize and participate in meeting and communications related to DOD presence in Unalaska and the Aleutian Islands. Monitoring and reported on military training and activities in the region; provide capabilities to DOD staff.

Reporting on USCGs National Vessel Documentation Center and National Maritime Center operations during government shutdown. Research on potential homeporting of an Arctic Security Cutter.

Development and submission of FY 2027 CDS/CPF request for health clinic equipment.
