Reintroduction of Championing Local Efforts to Advance Resilience (CLEAR) Act, (bill number unknown). The bill will provide grants for resilience offices in states. Specifically, resilience offices established or maintained through this program will: ● Conduct regular assessments of risks and vulnerabilities. Assessments will span a variety of sectors - including environmental and natural hazards, the economy and workforce, infrastructure, health and social services, and housing. ● Implement programming to address risks and vulnerabilities. Programming will include providing technical assistance to local governments; assisting with policy implementation; integrating resilience criteria into existing competitive grant funding; and facilitating access to resources before and after disasters. ● Improve coordination across state and local agencies. Coordination will focus on creating alignment between government agencies, regional and local jurisdictions, and local stakeholders to support recovery efforts and address risk reduction. ● Promote local government resilience. Offices are encouraged to identify risks in disadvantaged areas and prioritize projects to benefit those communities.
