USCR is advancing a legislative agenda that allows for (1) the rescheduling of cannabis from Schedule I to Schedule III on the Controlled Substances Act (2) states to set their own policies related to cannabis (2) allows for the safe banking and access to capital for the state-regulated cannabis industry (The CLIMB Act HR 7987) (3) Advances aspect of cannabis research (4) ends needless arrests and incarceration for cannabis conduct. Specific bills today include opposing HR 1447 the No Deductions for Marijuana Businesses Act, supporting the SAFE Banking Ac t(to be introduced in 119th Congress), and supporting the Veterans Equal Access Act. USCR supports other legislative initiatives that move towards ending federal cannabis prohibition including the States Act 2.0 and the Evidence Based Drug Policy Act

Advocating for language that prevents DOJ from expending allocated funds on state legal cannabis activity or using funds to hinder cannabis reclassification process.
