H.R. 8672 - No Tax on RV Loans Act (Yakym/Titus) : Advocated for H.R. 8672, legislation to amend the Internal Revenue Code to extend the consumer vehicle loan interest deduction to qualifying recreational vehicles, including travel trailers, campers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes, providing parity with other qualifying American-made vehicles.
Advocated for S. 1547, the America the Beautiful Act, and related House legislation, H.R. 9250, the Great American Outdoors Act 250, to reauthorize the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund established under the Great American Outdoors Act of 2020. Supported continued federal investment in deferred maintenance projects, including national parks, campgrounds, roads, visitor facilities, and other public lands infrastructure essential to outdoor recreation and RV travel. Both bills advanced through their respective congressional committees in June 2026 and remained pending before Congress during the third quarter.
Discussed federal trade policies affecting the recreational vehicle industry, including Section 232 tariffs on imported steel, aluminum, copper, and derivative products; Section 301 tariffs on imported materials and components; and additional tariffs affecting trade with Canada. Addressed the impact of federal tariff policies on RV manufacturing costs, supply chains, domestic manufacturing competitiveness, and the availability and affordability of recreational vehicles for consumers.
