Educate policymakers about Carriers work on building and energy efficiency. Support fiscal year (FY) 2027 Department of Energy appropriations and funding opportunities for technologies promoting grid resilience and reliability; and waste heat reuse. Discussed topics related to modernization of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA).
Monitor and discuss trade policy impacts, specifically 232 metal tariffs and USMCA review.
Discussed EPA HFC Technology Transition Reconsideration rule and submitted E.O. 12866 comments; Discussed impacts of the unintended inclusion of Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs) subject to new EPA HFC Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) requirements.
