TFB advocated to either create a new or reform the existing agricultural guest worker program for farmers and ranchers. TFB is seeking comprehensive reform to our agricultural guest worker program, known as H-2A. TFB is working to address issues in the legislation to ensure the bill addresses the needs of producers.
TFB advocated for FY2026 appropriations to provide critical funding to combat the New World Screwworm and to continue pressing the urgency of controlling the NWS in Mexico to keep it out of the U.S.
TFB expressed the dire need for Congress to complete a new farm bill. TFB expressed the provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB) are positive, but the rest of the farm bill provisions must be reauthorized.
TFB lobbied lawmakers to provide additional economic assistance for farmers and ranchers who are suffering through the farm economic downturn. TFB is urging lawmakers to include additional funding in the next Continuing Resolution (CR).

We expressed how tariffs are impacting farmers and ranchers, but explained how holding other counties accountable is something TFB members feel strongly about. 2. TFB discussed the importance of the U.S. - Mexico - Canada agreement and that we must ensure provisions of the agreement are enforced as the trade deal is reviewed over 2026.
