Agriculture

Educate Members of Congress and the Administration about the food and agriculture supply chain, including agriculture-based manufacturing. Monitor the Farm Bill reauthorization process, including H.R.7567, the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026; and educate Members on the Corn Refiners Association's and Plant Based Product Council's priorities, including H.R.4832/S.2654, the Biomanufacturing and Jobs Act of 2025; and H.R.3253/S.2467, the Agricultural Biorefinery Innovation and Opportunity Act. Educate Members of Congress and the Administration on the biobased products industry and the ag-based bioeconomy. Monitor proposals relative to food and ingredient regulation, and educate Members of Congress on nutrition priorities.

Monitor executive actions relevant to biomanufacturing. Educate Administration officials on biogenic carbon dioxide emissions from agriculture. Plant-Based Products Council and Ag Bioeconomy Coalition Initiatives: Educate Members of Congress and the Administration on the importance of our nation's ag-based bioeconomy; advocate for investments in plant-based product manufacturing in rural America and the need for biobased classification codes and uniform label terminology; engage with the Administration on policies to support domestic biobased manufacturing; advocate for funding for the BioPreferred program in H.R.8646, the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agency Appropriations Act of 2027; monitor biobased procurement and biomanufacturing provisions in H.R.8800/S.4784, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027.
