Asked for support of Port of Entry (POE) designation language to be submitted at markup or as amendment to House & Senate versions of the reconciliation or "Big, Beautiful Bill" by House Member & Senators from State of Texas. Language was not included in either versions of the Bill or in final.

Government Issues

Advocated for language to be introduced in House & Senate for the granting of Port of Entry (POE) status by the DHS CBP for Valley International Airport, which would provide same status as most other border airports. Senators Cruz (R-TX) & Cornyn (R-TX) re-introduced Border Airport Fairness Act (S. 222) on February 24. Advocated for House to do same. Reps. Elise Stefanik (NY) & Vicente Gonzalez (TX) re-introduced such language in April as "Border Airport Fairness Act of 2025."
