STRENGTHENING THE TENTH AMENDMENT THROUGH ENTRUSTING STATES ACT (STATES 2.0) - H.R. 2934 - aligning federal law with state cannabis policies by exempting cannabis produced and sold in compliance with state law from the federal definition of "marijuana." PREPARING REGULATORS EFFECTIVELY FOR A POST-PROHIBITION ADULT-USE REGULATED ENVIRONMENT ACT (PREPARE) - H.R. 2935 - S. 3576 - directing the Department of Justice to establish the Commission on the Federal Regulation of Cannabis to study a plausible and prompt pathway to cannabis regulation. EVIDENCE-BASED DRUG POLICY ACT - H.R. 3082 - repealing CSA restrictions on the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) regarding the conducting of studies related to the legalization of a Schedule I substance. CLEAN SLATE ACT - H.R. 3114 - S. 1580 - sealing certain federal marijuana offenses and other certain nonviolent crimes after those with previous convictions after the completion of a sentence. MARIJUANA IN FEDERALLY ASSISTED HOUSING PARITY ACT - H.R. 6807 - S. 3537 - prohibiting the denial of occupancy of federally assisted housing on the basis of using, distributing, possessing, selling, or manufacturing marijuana in compliance with state law CANNABINOID SAFETY AND REGULATION ACT - S. 3474 - create a federal regulatory system for cannabinoid products (including hemp-derived consumer products). HEMP ENFORCEMENT MODERNIZATION, AND PROTECTION (HEMP) ACT - H.R. 7212 - establishing a nationwide age limit of 21 to purchase hemp-derived products. HEMP SAFETY ENFORCEMENT ACT - S. 4315 - permitting states and Indian tribes to opt out of the federal hemp production plan and new federal definition of hemp that would ban most hemp-derived THC products. AMERICAN HEMP PROTECTION ACT - H.R. 6209 - repealing the legislation set to take effect in November 2026 which would ban most hemp-derived THC products. HEMP PLANTING PREDICTABILITY ACT - H.R. 7024 - S. 3686 - postponing the effective date of the hemp ban by two years, from Nov. 12, 2026 to Nov. 12, 2028. It contains no additional regulatory provisions. The End Needless Distribution of 7-OH Act (H.R. 8000): restricting the distribution of synthetic 7-OH products by treating them as federally controlled substance with no accepted medical use. VETERANS CANNABIS USE FOR SAFE HEALING ACT - H.R. 966 - to prohibit the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) from denying a veteran any VA benefit due to participation in a state-approved marijuana program. VETERANS EQUAL ACCESS ACT - H.R. 1384 - requiring the VA to authorize its physicians to complete forms for veterans, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing out of pocket costs for veterans.
