Lobbying regarding legislation and policy proposals affecting immigrant communities, including the advancement of a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and other eligible individuals through the DREAM and PROMISE Act (H.R. 1589) in the House and the DREAM Act (S. 365) in the Senate. Advocacy also addressed legislative and administrative proposals related to expanded immigration enforcement and mass deportation policies, the impact of policy changes affecting the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and birthright citizenship protections on families, employers, and local communities, as well as the implications of recent and anticipated Supreme Court decisions concerning immigration law, executive authority, and constitutional protections affecting immigrant populations.
