Agriculture

I lobbied in opposition to the EATS Act, whose current versions are the Save Our Bacon Act (H.R. 4673) and the Food Security and Farm Protection Act (S. 1326), in addition to encouraging members of Congress to join congressional letter opposing the EATS Act. Additionally, I lobbied in support of mandatory country of origin labeling, specifically the American Beef Labeling Act (S. 421), in support of farm-to-school programs with the Strengthening Local Food Security Act (S. 2338), and discussed the COVER Act, legislation pertaining to cover crop programs from the 118th Congress that has not yet been reintroduced.

Trade (domestic/foreign)

I lobbied in support of mandatory country of origin labeling, specifically the American Beef Labeling Act (S. 421) and the Country of Origin Labeling Enforcement Act (H.R. 5818). Additionally I had discussions on the U.S.'s agricultural trade deficit.

I lobbied in support of mandatory country of origin labeling, specifically the American Beef Labeling Act (S. 421).

Labor Issues/Antitrust/Workplace

I lobbied for letters in support of Robinson Patman Act enforcement, and for appropriations language that encourages the FTC to promote competition including in the food sector. Additionally, I spoke about antitrust issues in the seed and fertilizer industries, the DOJ's meatpacking investigation, and general price fixing and monopolization issues in agriculture.
