Five projects were submitted under the FY 2026 Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Appropriations Bill to support critical infrastructure and community development in the City of Hesperia: -Acquisition of Hesperia Lake Park to address safety and blight concerns and develop a long-term plan for affordable housing and commercial investment. (Submitted twice under different request types) -Revitalization and expansion of Maple Park, one of the most heavily used sports parks in the Hesperia Recreation & Park District. (Also submitted twice under different request types) -Modernization of the Percy Bakker Community Center, a central civic facility used for public gatherings and community events.
