Advocated before Senate, House, and federal agencies for the interests of independent insurance agents selling flood insurance policies, including but not limited to National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policies; supported the reauthorization of the NFIP; expressed concern with a FEMA proposal to provide direct-to-consumer (D2C) online sales of NFIP policies; expressed concern about proposed FEMA guidance for sale and service of NFIP policies during future lapses in NFIP's Congressional authority (Appendix L of draft April 1, 2024 Flood Manual); discussed with FEMA enforcement of requirement that each NFIP policy have both agent and agency NPNs to be associated with them; Supported the repeal or reform of the Federal Insurance Office, including H.R. 643, the Federal Insurance Office Elimination Act; Supported S. 1015, a bill to extend the National Flood Insurance Program through December 31, 2026; Supported H.R. 1968, Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025. Began preparation of response to House Energy & Commerce Committee Request for Information; began preparation of response to FEMA Request for Information; communicated with FEMA regarding attendance at National Flood Association conference; prepared questions for new NFIP director's presentation at National Flood Association conference.
