Support democracy reforms, including public matching funds systems for congressional and presidential campaigns, voting rights protections, redistricting reforms, and strengthened campaign finance laws and enforcement. Support the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (H.R. 14) which would restore, strengthen, and modernize the voting rights protections included in the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Support the DISCLOSE Act, to combat the flood of special-interest spending in politics and require additional disclosure requirements for corporations, labor organizations, Super PACs, and other entities. Support the allocation of $825 million in funding for Election Security Grants to states and localities in the FY 2026 budget, in order to support state and local election officials. Support congressional spending to bolster appropriations for judicial security and reject efforts to undercut the judiciarys independence. Support H.R.3544, the Supreme Court Tenure Establishment and Retirement Modernization (TERM) Act, which would establish 18-year term limits for Supreme Court justices and a regularized appointments process. Support urging House leadership to approve the Office of Congressional Conduct (OCC) by House leadership. Support the TRUST In Congress Act (H.R. 396) which would require Members of Congress, including their spouse and any dependent children, to place specified investments into a qualified blind trust until 180 days after the end of their tenure as a Member of Congress. Oppose H.R. 1526, the No Rogue Rulings Act which would sharply limit federal district courts ability to do their jobs and issue nationwide injunctions against unlawful actions. By design, it would prevent federal district courts from effectively blocking illegal actions, including actions by the Administration. Oppose Section 203 of the Senate Judiciary reconciliation provisions that would require litigants seeking preliminary injunctions or restraining orders to post exorbitant bonds in order to vindicate their rights against likely unlawful or unconstitutional actions by the federal government. Oppose the House Homeland Security Committees and Sen. Josh Hawleys demands for information from hundreds of nonprofit organizations. Oppose the SAVE Act (H.R. 22) which would require individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. Oppose the Promptly Ending Political Prosecutions and Executive Retaliation Act (PEPPER Act) (H.R. 1789) which would allow current and former executive branch officials, including the President and Vice President, to transfer civil or criminal cases against them from state to federal courts. Oppose any Continuing Resolution that removes Washington DCs longstanding authority to spend its locally raised tax dollars and manage its own budget. Support the Washington, D.C. Admission Act, to make Washington, D.C. a state (S. 51 / H.R. 51). Support the First Amendment, which protects our right to speak, protest, publish, learn, and dissent - free from fear of punishment from the government. Oppose efforts by the executive branch to defund, discredit, and dismantle nonprofit groups it disagrees with.
