Assisted client in contacting Senators Schumer and Gillibrand of NY; and Congressman Kennedy of NY, asking their assistance on three issues: letters of support for grant for the ASCEND project with Department of Education; appeal termination of a Title III grant from the Department of Education; and assist in obtaining approval from the Department of Education for three new academic programs-- had been pursuing since February. Visited with staff in the offices of Senator Schumer, Senator Gillibrand and Congressman Kennedy to discuss budget and appropriations issues for Daemen University (August 26-27).
