Authorizes and requests the President to present, on behalf of the Congress, gold medals to the families of Francis R. Scobee, Michael Smith, Judith Resnik, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Christa McAuliffe, and Gregory Jarvis in recognition of their courage, dedication, and sacrifice as crew members of the space shuttle Challenger.

Requires the Secretary of the Treasury to determine the design of the medals. Authorizes appropriations.
