Fair Medicare Appeals Act of 1985 - Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to permit an individual to be represented by a provider during a Medicare related hearing or appeal.

Permits, under part B (Supplementary Medical Insurance) of title XVIII, an administrative hearing if the amount in controversy is more than $500 and judicial review if the amount in controversy is more than $1,000.
