This bill would amend federal law to let military retirees who have combat-related disabilities receive both their veterans' disability compensation and their military retirement pay at the same time. Currently, military rules may prevent someone from collecting both payments simultaneously. The bill is named after Major Richard Star and is sponsored by Representative Gus Bilirakis of Florida.
