This resolution celebrates 60 years of diplomatic relations between the United States and Kenya and reaffirms the strong partnership between the two countries.

The resolution also (1) recognizes Kenya's key role in regional security, (2) encourages the United States and Kenya to expand trade and economic cooperation, and (3) appreciates the contributions of the Kenyan diaspora community in the United States.
