Armenian Protection Act of 2023

This bill restricts providing U.S. foreign assistance to the government of Azerbaijan in FY2024 or FY2025.

Current law prohibits providing certain foreign assistance to the government of Azerbaijan, but also authorizes the President to waive this prohibition for specified reasons, such as if the foreign assistance is necessary to support U.S. efforts to counter international terrorism. This bill bars the President from providing this waiver with respect to funds made available for FY2024 or FY2025.
