This bill requires the Department of State to use the voice, vote, diplomatic capital, and resources of the United States to ensure that the U.S. Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission is able to (1) advance efforts seeking Mexican compliance with the Treaty on Utilization of Waters of the Colorado and Tijuana Rivers and of the Rio Grande, and (2) establish understandings to provide predictable and reliable future deliveries of water by Mexico.
