Finger Lakes National Heritage Area Act

This bill designates the Finger Lakes National Heritage Area in New York as a component of the National Heritage Area System. The area consists of Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Livingston, Monroe, Onondaga, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, and Yates Counties. (The National Park Service administers National Heritage Areas, which Congress designates as places where natural, cultural, and historic resources come together to form a nationally important landscape.)

The Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance is designated as the local coordinating entity for the area and must submit to the National Park Service a proposed management plan for the area.
