This resolution condemns the human rights violations of the Iranian regime and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisolsadati.

The resolution also (1) finds the United Nations (U.N.) Security Council holding a moment of silence for the death of Ebrahim Raisolsadati to be inconsistent with the values of the U.N. Charter, and (2) denounces the decision of Robert Wood, U.S. Deputy Ambassador to the U.N., to participate in the moment of silence.
