Prevent the Financing of Terrorism Through the Drug Trade Act

This bill requires the Department of the Treasury to submit a report to Congress on terrorist financing in the Americas. The report must include (1) an analysis of the major moneymaking sources for Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist financing in the Americas, (2) an analysis of the extent to which Hamas and Hezbollah are linked to drug trafficking organizations in the Americas, and (3) a description of U.S. and multilateral efforts to disrupt such financing.

In the next National Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment report, Treasury must identify Hamas as a primary threat and fully describe its terrorist financing activities.
