Government Off TikTok Act or the GOT Act
This bill prohibits a federal government official (i.e., officer, employee, or elected official) from establishing or having a Government, Politician, or Political Party Account on TikTok or an equivalent account provided by any other entity owned by its parent company, ByteDance Limited.
Referred to the Committee on Oversight and Accountability, and in addition to the Committees on House Administration, and the Judiciary, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
