American Confidence in Elections: District of Columbia Voter List Maintenance Act
This bill establishes certain voter registration requirements for elections in the District of Columbia (DC).
Under the bill, a voter must register at least 30 days before an election. The bill also requires election officials to remove ineligible voters from official registration records every year.
Further, election officials must remove a voter's registration if the voter has not voted for two consecutive years and, after receiving a specified notice, the registrant fails to respond and does not vote during the period that begins when the notice is sent and ends on the later of (1) four years later, or (2) after two consecutive general elections have been held.
