Prescription Information Modernization Act of 2023
This bill allows health care providers to receive prescribing information for drugs electronically rather than in paper form from manufacturers. Manufacturers must still give providers the option to continue to receive or request the information in paper form.
Additionally, the Food and Drug Administration must hold a public workshop to discuss with stakeholders how to optimize the format, accessibility, and usability of prescribing information.
Referred to the Subcommittee on Health.
