Astronaut Safe Temporary Ride Options Act or the ASTRO Act
This bill authorizes the expenditure of federal funds for transportation of government astronauts returning from space for the performance of medical research, monitoring, diagnosis, or treatment or other official duties prior to receiving post-flight medical clearance to operate a motor vehicle.
Referred to the Committee on Oversight and Reform, and in addition to the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
